Integrated Projects Dubai LLC (IPD) is a locally established contracting company registered in the Sultanate of Oman. Integrated Projects Dubai LLC was established back in the year 2009. The company was registered as a construction concern allowed to carry out activities such as; construction works, fit-out works, refurbishments, external signboard replacements, digital printing, and maintenance works. The company established is a partnership concern with a share distribution of 95% to 5% between Mr. Al Aamri and Mr. Jose. Inforise Enterprises Trading LLC (IET), is another contracting company established back in the year 2010 under the partnership of Mr. Qais Ibrahim Al Wahaibi & Mr. Tijo Thomas. IET too was a partnership concern with a similar
share distribution as IPD. IPD and IET later entered into a Joint Venture as a result of the challenges faced by both companies to gain sufficient business to keep the business alive. After the strategic decision taken by the owners of both companies during the year 2012, they entered into a Joint Venture (JV), thereby creating a much bigger and a stronger entity under the brand IPD. The ownership nevertheless remained unchanged.
The owners and the managing partners of IPD had to re-visit IPDs entire future from scratch. They were into a very challenging industry with virtually zero visibility. Given the fact that a small-scaled company with no significant clients in their portfolio, it was a great struggle for IPD to make a start. Nevertheless, the managing partners had a plan, especially Mr. Tijo Thomas, who had some amount of contacts in the industry. The partners, however, were watchful of the changes and the opportunities that came up in the market and as a result, they managed to capitalize on the historic merger that took place between HSBC Bank Middle East Limited and Oman Arab Bank back in June 2012. The contacts Mr. Thomas had with the bank paved the way to IPD to be awarded their first-ever contract from HSBC. The scope of work included building a gypsum partition to secure a 550 square meter area of building rented out to relocate HSBC's Al Khoud branch. The value of the first contract awarded was USD 25,000, and Integrated Projects Dubai LLC ensured that they executed this first-ever contract from the international brand HSBC to their best ability delighting the client. The effort was a success, and the client was fascinated by the speedy execution of the project and the quality of performance. This was the dawn of a new era for IPD as with the lead of satisfaction by the client; several other significant contracts were awarded to IPD by HSBC registering them as one of their listed contractors. The owners and the managing partners of WD immediately capitalized on this opportunity and developed their company profile indicating HSBC as one of their key clients. The strategy carried an enormous amount of weight and recognition to IPD as it was a convincing factor for other clients that they approached. With HSBC being an international brand and also being a client of IPD, other recognized brands in Oman did not hesitate to invite IPD to their projects. The strategy paved the way to IPD to establish them self from where they were to the level they are at current, securing continuous business growth and market reputation. Speaking to the author one of the main local partners states "When I look back to see IPD as a very small company as of 2018, we have managed to achieve a total revenue of OMR 1.0 Mn, who could not be happier about it." The statement demonstrates the satisfaction level of the local partners from a revenue growth perspective. Being a small-scale company, which was about to be closed due to lack of business, IPD has turned things over in a massive way. Adding, the Senior Cost Consultant of Arcadis, states, "They are going to tell you that they can build anything, and they have the capability of building the Taj Mahal or the Burl Khalifa. And surprisingly l am sure that they would do it". This once again demonstrates the level of energy and courage IPD had shown to basically to do the impossible and hence taking them from "No-where to Every-where."
